9 Lessons For A Leader From The Movie "The Walk"

" The Walk " is a movie based on the true story of a French high-wire artist, Philippe Petit, who, at the age of 24, walked between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York on a high wire on August 7, 1974. He walked at a height of around 1,350 feet, covering a distance of around 200 feet. Philippe Petit is the only man on this planet who did this. This movie shows how the "impossible" can be made into the "possible" and teaches various lessons that could be useful for everyone.  1. Define your vision and identify your goal: To become a leader, one must first define his or her goal, a clear vision of where they want to go.Like Philippe, he was skilled in wire walking and always used to look for a perfect place for his wire walk. He got the vision to take the world's highest wire walk when he was 18 years old and once visited a dentist due to his ailing toothache. He found the proposed construction and saw drawings of twin towers in a maga...

Overview of Jammer Circuit for 850 - 2100 MHz Engineering Project

A jammer is an RF emitter, usually emitting wide band noise at an high power level, that serves to overpower other RF signals with lower power level in that band, and thus the jammer prevents the receivers in its vicinity to receive those low power radio emissions. With very high power levels, it eventually can overpower the RF emmitters nearby and so in this case it "smashes" the radio emissions at its bare source. Jamming devices overpower the cell phone by transmitting a signal on the same frequency and at a high enough power that the two signals collide and cancel each other out also known as phenomenon of destructive interference. A jammer is also defined as a device that is used to block signals by jamming Bluetooth or wireless signals for cell phones, GPS signals, and Wi-Fi systems. Jammers flood a specific area with noise that covers the radio bands to be jammed. Jammers can be used for many reasons, such as preventing unwanted calls from telemarketers; as well a...

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and the Environment

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and the Environment Introduction The impact on the environment of everyday materials is increasingly important if we are to reduce our carbon footprint and protect our natural heritage for future generations. Our aim, therefore, in this booklet is to provide you with factual, well-documented information about the environmental credentials of EPS. EPS (expanded polystyrene) is an excellent material for packaging and for construction as it is a light yet rigid foam with good thermal insulation and high impact resistance. This publication aims to provide balanced information based on the manufacture, use and recovery from waste of EPS in the packaging and construction sectors. We also aim to demonstrate to customers, government organisations, consumer associations and the public that, by choosing or using EPS, you can be confident it is safe, complies with all relevant technical and environmental standards and can easily be recycled at the end of its primary us...
